Alfred wants to spread personal finance awareness starting with an area that impacts at least one in three Canadians - financial planning for post-secondary education. Families often feel overwhelmed when presented with the ever increasing cost of post-secondary education.
Proliteracy.ca brings all aspects of financial planning to one place. It analyzes data from cities and post-secondary institutions across the country to provide forecasts on costs. It consolidates information related to RESP, grants and scholarships to present personalized funding recommendations. Proliteracy.ca is also a social platform that allows students and families performing similar planning to exchange information.
In my interview with Alfred, we discuss the importance of financial literacy, graduating with less student debt and getting a mortgage when you’re self-employed.
