Jelani Smith is the founder of Bay Street Blog, a financial hub that aims to help Millennials expand their knowledge on personal finance, real estate, and self-directed investing related topics. Jelani bought his first home at the young age of 21, in his third year at University of Toronto, which he occupied shortly after graduation. He has been featured on the Globe and Mail, and Toronto Life, in regards to his personal financial habits & advice. Currently, he's working full time at a Financial Institution, and manages Bay Street Blog on the side - with the goal of improving the financial literacy rates among millennials.
In my interview with Jelani, we discuss how to save a larger down payment, urban versus suburban living, and how to ensure the mortgage process goes smoothly.
